The conceptual framework began with a deliberate exploration of mass and void; an exercise in breaking down a singular built form into a series of articulated volumes. Rather than designing a static façade, the intention was to create depth, shadow, and rhythm through careful segmentation. Each layer was studied to understand how it would mediate light, encourage ventilation, and soften the built mass within its urban context.
The floating roof emerged as a defining gesture early in the process; not as a decorative element, but as an architectural device that unifies the composition while enhancing its perceived lightness. By visually lifting the upper plane, the structure gains an airy horizontality that tempers the solidity of the volumes below. This interplay between grounded mass and lifted plane establishes both identity and restraint.
Materiality and proportion were approached with equal clarity. Warm and muted textures were selected to reinforce the tropical-modern language, while deep recesses, terraces, and open corridors were positioned to dissolve boundaries between interior and exterior. This holistic approach transforms subtle architectural gestures into a tranquil, expansive tropical modern living experience; where residents enjoy a seamless connection between architecture and landscape.

A03 Residences
The form of this residence emerges from a carefully composed interplay of subtle volumes. Anchored by a floating roof, the architecture elevates both form and function, achieving an airy, weightless quality. This light and expansive structure creates a dynamic visual identity, yet maintains a sense of calm, balance, and restraint across the entire composition.
As with every PG+A project, layering and segmentation allow light and air to flow freely, dissolving the boundary between inside and outside. Terraces, open corridors, and natural transitions aren't just design features - they're integral responses to climate, shaping meaningful spatial transitions. This holistic approach transforms subtle architectural gestures into a tranquil, expansive tropical modern living experience.
